Frequently asked questions

How do I join AviatesAir?
Head to the Sign Up page and create your pilot account with your real name and SimBrief username. You'll be issued a personal ACARS key so your flights can be logged.
What is an ACARS key?
Your ACARS key is a unique code that links your flights to your pilot account, so every sector you fly is tracked automatically toward your hours and rank.
What do I need to fly with you?
You'll need Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020 or 2024), at least one aircraft from our fleet, a SimBrief account, and to be 13 or older. See the Pilot Info page for the full walkthrough.
How do ranks and progression work?
Every pilot starts as a Cadet and advances through the ranks automatically as flight hours build up. You can always see your progress from your pilot dashboard.
I can't log in or I've lost my ACARS key.
No problem — email us at aviatesair@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll help you recover access.
Which callsign should I use on VATSIM?
Use one of our registered ICAO prefixes — you'll find them, with examples, on the Callsigns page.
